Why are there all of a sudden, so many Chase Banks everywhere?

Chase has been aggressively buying other banks to get into new markets and new territories. In Chicago, Chase purchased Bank One and now all the Bank One locations and ATM's are Chase.
So if you live in the Chicagoland area, that's the reason why you are seeing so many Chase locations around.
