Will the Nintendo DS ever support WPA wireless security?

I would hope that they'd eventually support WPA instead of hanging on the the less secure WEP.

I hope so, but I really doubt it. Historically speaking, Nintendo usually doesn't change protocol things like this once they have their mind set. A good example is the Wii, which still doesn't even incorporate DVD technology.

Another factor is that they might have a hard time changing to support it now. It would mean some sort of firmware update, since doing it in-game would be very tricky. A firmware update with a DS would be a lot harder than something like the PSP.
