We all don't live where you live.
I used to pay about $60 for Roadrunner and I pay less than $20 for Verizon DSL and the DSL is only very slighlty slower and that is only when doing a head-to-head comparison. On day-to-day usage, I have never noticed the speed difference.
BTW, I'm in clearwater, FL.

yes in CA, for cable internet it is about $55, yes faster than AT&T dsl, which is going from $20-30 a month,, with dsl you can pay a little extra for more bandwidth,, but most of us don't notice the difference in speed, so I just pay less for just fast dsl, not faster dsl or cable internet...
I think you need to have a very fast processor in your computer to utilze the full speed?????

Because where you pay $55/month for cable, I pay $24/month for DSL which is plenty fast for me.

I have DSL and am ashamed of it, I had cable about 1 year ago and I loved it, faster, and less problematic.
