What do you think of those white braces?

Question

like you can almost see through them-
im getting braces but im not sure if i want the regular kind of the white kind because some of my friends are saying the white kind will make it look like i have a bunch of crap all over my teeth..( i know sounds discusting )
but i dont know =\

they dont look nasty at all, they are a bit more expensive but its worth it, if not try invisalign

When you say white braces do you mean Ceramic? If you get Ceramic ones they aren't even noticable on the teeth and they work just as good as the traditional metal ones. They are stain resistant so you don't have to worry about them staining. Many people say they stain but as long as you watch what you eat and drink, don't eat red pasta sauce and drink coke all day, they shouldn't stain at all. Also the ligatures are replaced everytime you visit your orthodontist for a tightening. Many orthodontists also allow you to come in early to get the ligatures replaced sooner just in case they do start to discolor.

When i was getting ready to get my braces..i just asked my orthodontist his best opinion..i liked what he had to say..he said that true it may look more discreet..but sometimes it does make your teeth look "thicker" and they do break easier than the metal ones!...they also turn yellow with time..and it looks like your teeth are dirty..but then again it is YOUR choice!!...so its all a matter of your preference!!...(and in the end..you'll have straight teeth - that you'll love anyways)

I have braces abd I say get the regular kind. The white ones would be very weird looking. You can ask your dentist or your orthadontist and get their oppinion. But I say get the regulars. (Dark colors make your teeth look white!)

I would not recomend the clear. My orthodontist is very honest and he advised me not to get them. The clear DOES turn yellow very quickly and it looks like you have yellow teeth. I don't know why they turn yellow but think of this, You have a shirt and you bleach it white a couple times the shirt turns yellow.....same with your braces. Hope you like your straight teeth later in life, and best of luck.

although they are suppose to be invisible, they actually make you look like you have plaque on your teeth. and i have heard that they discolor fast as well. so i would say go with the metal braces with gray bands or if invisalign is not too pricey, try that.

I had to face that question to but my dentist told me if i were his daughter he'd make me get the ordinary silver ones that you can put coloured bands in as the white ones discolour and they dont work as quickly!!hope dis helps!!n gud luck it all pays off in the end im getting mine off soon and im soooo... excited straight teeth!!xx

i might propose staying faraway from the extremes. of direction, it is your determination. I merely propose, no white (it does make your tooth seem no longer white, no good). %. a effective in-between colour that looks good on you! you would be caught with those colours for a on an identical time as! good success! <3

i say DONT get the clear type. they r nasty. they make ur teeth look yellow, and slimy and just gross.just get the regular type. they look WAAY better!!!

i would get pretty colored ones
because i think that white ones just
look so plain.if you dont want them to be
like neon bright or whatever then just get a
simpler color like red.
