We are never going to win this war that Bush started. So why do we need to waste more humans??? TO SAVE FACE!!!. Come on guys, sometimes throwing in the towel is the only thing to do. If we want to stop the madness in the Middle East..then NUKE the place. Save some time and money. NOW REALLY that is not what I want, but realistically that all that can be done to win and stop the madness. If we do not watch out Nuking each other may be the way we are heading. We just do not have the man power & money to continue this war. I know Bushy thinks money grows from trees and I can not blame the simple minded idiot who came from a family with money. Poor soul knows no better.
I am so angry and from the beginning when Bush wacky was elected as our president. I knew we were in trouble when it was a known fact that no one ever had had so many criminals put to death like he did as governor of Texas. AND remember he talks to GOD.

If we just pulled out, they'd probably try to shoot down the planes, then they'd go kill thousands of Iraqi's to get back control of the country. Then all of the deaths of Americans, British, New Zealanders, etc would have been totally in vain. Sounds like a plan...

Irrelevant. We aren't going to be pulling out of there anytime soon, sadly. I'mo no cheerleader for Bush or this war, but we are screwed at least as much if we don't finish the job. NAtion building is a fool's errand and I hope future leaders learn from this.

What would happen to the insurgents then? Think they would just go home? Where could the US ever send troops again that they would not show up, to finish the fight? Who said the insurgents were done fighting?

It is never too late. When somebody chooses to wade out of a puddle of quickksand, no time is to late. Only not to choose it at all is a mistake.
