In the UK you can do that at 16,alot of our holiday workers and weekend workers are 16/17

Commerce Bank where?? In the midwest. I know first hand if you'd like talk offline.
Just some words - all banking employees have to get bonded and pass a very extensive background test. And drug tests are required as well. Make sure you're record and body are clean. :)
Tellers don't get paid much at the bank. They are actually the lowest paid employees here. But it's a good place to start.

Considering you would be handling money, you would probably have to be older. But they might offer other summer jobs.
You might try United or a local supermarket. I worked there for 4 years. Much better then working at Taco Bell or any restaurant.

All the banks in my area want employees who are 18 or older.

In the U.S. you must be 17 years old, AND
have finished high school. Also need to show
proof of having your diploma, showing your
GPA.
