Its about time someone with psychic abilities leads this country. A man with his power is certainly an asset as he can communicate with the dead…possibly w/ the suicide bombers to get more insight as to why they are doing it

If Elizabeth Edwards were running, I'd vote for her. She is really great, a terrific inspiration. John is just a politician like any other. Not, by any means, and the previous Answer notwithstanding, an "ambulance chaser". In my profession I have known many of those, and he is not one. But then it's not unusual for a politician to be attacked for irrelevant reasons. (To my mind, it's enough to label him or her a "politician" to disqualify the person. Cynicism comes with the job, and politicians spend all their time raising funds for their next election and cavorting with the lobbyists who can get them those funds.)

Some years ago I went, at the behest of a friend and client who had nothing to sell but a message of what I shall call for purposes of this note "fraud, waste and mismanagement" to see Congressman Don Pease, who was about to retire from the Congress and not run for re-election. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Pease I had sent my materials on ahead, and asked only 5 minutes with the Great Man to have him instruct his staff to look through them. The Congressman never got to the substance. He said in effect: "You've seen me, now you can tell your client you've delivered the message." He acted as if I had something to sell -- that I was a lobbyist -- and he wasn't interested. (Not, I suppose, because I hadn't paid money to his campaign because he wasn't running; but because I didn't have any chips to cash in.) Even his staff were astonished at his non sequitur of a reply.

I thanked the staff and left.

I had only one other meeting then. To see John Kerry's staff; not Kerry himself. Kerry's staff had read everything I had sent and were on top of the subject. While I did not get what I wanted, their explanation was cogent and fair: they'd just finished the BCCI report, it had taken a year of their lives with no extra pay and no relief from their ordinary work; unless I could get through to Kerry (through lobbyists or political channels) and unless he would order them to investigate the illegal acts which I complained of (and which the staff acknowledged were fraud, but the SEC was constrained by politics from acting upon), I was out of luck.

And so it was.

I have not been back to Washington since. But I've had my education. I don't blame Edwards, or Kerry, or even Pease (senile or not). It's the system: it responds to the wrong stimuli. And Edwards -- John, not so much Elizabeth -- is part of it.

And people thought I was crazy. :) He declared his run before Clinton and Obama. I think he's not the typical politician. Sure, I know that something like over 90% of them are pooh-heads but he might be strong. I remember I said that Edwards was going to run (before the mid-terms) and people thought I was crazy. Now, that primary is going to be one hell of a show! Who ever I vote for is going to be for the person that represents me the best and not because the other candidates are bad or whatever. Clinton, Obama and Edwards all were (or are) in the Senate and I think it's very cool. He and the Iowa governor know what it is to go through tough times. We were always complaining that nobody represents the people who suffer, the average Joe, the poor, etc. I'll assure you that he'll start campaigning after New Years and pull ahead in the polls. Boy, am I ready to go for more!

No. He's a lightweight. Go watch the VP debate between Edwards and Cheney. Edwards could not keep up. The Democrats should run a strong candidate like Hillary.

Unfortunately this question has been put forth by an obviously out of touch nimrod, but I'll answer anyhow:
I believe he is indeed an excellent choice. Mister Edwards understands the plight of the working man, unlike all Republicans and most Democrats. His stirring speech over Labor Day weekend in Iowa is eveidence enough of that fact.
The Johnh Edwards who is running for president is a Carolinian who grew up in a home headed by a mill worker. He went on to become a lawyer and US senator before running as Kerry's VP
The other John is a fraud who digs away at people for three hours, then repackages the edited material as a forty minute schyster-fest in which he claims to have contacted dead relatives.

John Edwards could have one small element to describe. He channeled an unborn toddler in court docket and stated the toddler interior the mummy's womb grow to be telling him what to assert. He additionally votes to kill each unborn toddler conceivable by way of unrestricted abortion. How can he say the toddler is sensible adequate to speak with him, in English, yet isn't a human? i presumed in simple terms human beings spoke English, and that individuals who communicate English should not be killed devoid of being convicted of a capitol crime. What crime does John Edwards think of all those little ones have committed?

Why did it take the Breck Girl so long to show up in New Orleans? It's not like he has been working for the past 15 months.

I think he's a fool. Also, since Bush communicates with God, I will just wait and see who Bush endorses. By definition that will be the right choice.

He's great on the campaign trail, very charismatic and can connect with people with his rags to riches story. He's a nice guy too.

But he's very short on experience, having been only a one term US Senator.

He's a great looking person but don't know if he's got what it takes to win the nomination.

Were it be that John Edwards you would have a valid argument. But the John Edwards running is a ambulance chaser who was elected for one term only and then voted out. He's a pretty boy, but no substance.
