I have learned that I can survive a whole lot of things that I never thought that I could. I made it through my moms death and have been able to be strong for my dad. I made it through Hurricane Katrina(we just got through rebuilding and cleaning up). I learned to depend on myself and to trust my instincts. I learned that if I think something may be wrong with someone to speak up(I knew, as a nurse, that my mom had cancer) and not be quiet because it won't just go away if you don't talk about it. I learned that my son has turned out to be a good business man and I learned that I can run a very successful business and get along with my employees. I learned most of all not to take one day for granted and despite what the "PC" folks think it's still great to live in the USA and I AM proud to be an American.
I have not come full circle yet, but yes, I definitely like the person that I am becoming. I thank God everyday for my blessings and I look forward to 2007.

Learned never to have trust in people until they have EARNED that trust -- because once again I've been betrayed .. because this time, the Ex Burglarized my home (once again -- August 2006 and this is more than 13 years AFTER the divorce!) with the help of one of my Adult Children ... and that is unforgivable.
