he can get a court to demand a paternity test... is there any reason why you don't want him to getone? if it is money the way I understand it is that if he wants one... and he is proven to be the father he pays for test if it says he isn't the father then you pay for test..... my friend matt had to go to court to get a paternity test for his daughter but the situtation was a little different he knew the baby was his and she wasn't sure and didn't want my friend matt to be the dad anyways the court made them get paternity tests and he is the father and now gets to see his little girl ....good luck

If a man is going to be made to pay child support, he if he feels that he may not be the baby' daddy he has every right to get a paternity test

Absolutely. He is entitled to know if it is his child or not. And if you are keeping that from him, because it may not be his, consider that it will not only affect him, but your baby in the future. IF you are old enough to have a child, you should do the mature thing, and be straight up with him.

Also, he can get a court order to get a paternity test when custody and visitation issues come up. It isnt only the child support that raises the question of whether or not the child is his.

Yes and no. If you are seeking child support for the twins (?), he can contest the order pending confirmation of paternity. If that were the case, then yes, he could force you for the paternity test and he would have to pay for it. If he wanted it "just because", then no, he can't make you do anything. But, again, if you expect support from him, then he has that right.

All you can say is no. If he signs any legal documents, like the birth certificates or an Aknowledgment of Paternity, he is legally binding himself to the child, and he legally becomes the father. But if he doesn't, and the issue comes up with child support, then the courts will order you to take a DNA test.

Good Luck girl !!

Yes he can, and techincally it is his right... you can't force him not to have a paternity test, just like he can't force you to get an abortion.

If you know he is the father, whats the big deal? I think the only reason you wouldn't want him to is if there is a chance that he might not be the father...

I am not sure why you would resist such a test, as it would surely "nail him to the cross" as far as paying child support (so don't forget to take him to the cleaners for that), and I believe like others have said, he may be able to force the issue with a court order. The other problem with you being reluctant to have this test done, is that it casts suspicion on you and whether he is in fact the father, thereby making it seem that you may have been in an adulterous affair.

I just know that the other man claiming to be Anna Nicole Smith's baby's father was able to get a judge to order a paternity test for her baby, if that helps any. Good Luck!!!!!

A paternity test is required for child support if he claims that he may not be the father. A legal order may be passed down if he gets an attorney (varies by state) but for sure one will be ordered if you ask for child support.

He can force a paternity test with an Order. If you are expecting any support you will have to do this in order to receive that support. If you go with the flow it will be much easier on you. Otherwise, you will be faced with attorneys, judges, etc.
