Other than play the lottery, gamble or invest in the stock market.

Well, I would find out what large nasty thing was going to happen around that time, like an earthquake, hurricane, or the like. Take a paper from the future with me, and warn the appropriate people. Then run like heck before they tried to torture me for the secret of time travel.
