2-5
So, the (-) will be a (+) 'coz it is positive+negative.
2+(-5)
So, it is negative+positive. When it is negative+positive, we subtract.
Answer is -3 but we are looking for the absolute value of this.
So, -3 to 0 is 3. It is a distance of 3.

do 2 minus 5 which is negative 3. The bars around it are absolute values which means you take the answer of anything inside and make it positive.
