I get in states of loneliness sometimes. Does anyone ever feel like this? I just feel really low....

yea it happens all the time. even when in a room full of people you can feel alone. I think its human nature to be with someone, for whatever reason. your not alone with this thought.

I think we all do, we are the only one that is there for us all our lives. It is different to feeling sorry for yourself...that you can get over, just think of the poor kids in Sudan.
You couldn't get more alone than where I live but I am filled with the joy that is living. Try giving just a little of your time to others get involved with people locally...there will be groups posted in your local library or Volunteer Bureau. Being lonely can be really debilitating, take yourself for a walk and try to describe it to a blind person or a deaf person or even to someone who is bed ridden..write it all down and see what you think.
I know it's kind of boring but I beleive if you wake up in the morning the rest of the day is up to you. Be happy, peace.

Nah - just come on here - I can't see you, but it's great knowing you're all out there, giving thumbs up/down, Best Answers, friendly comments & asking your questions. Other than that, I email or phone a friend, watch TV or listen to the radio. I'm never lonely since I went online.

I'm at my lowest point too... I know how it feels to be completely lonely. All what could be done is just do an activity alone. The thing YOU enjoy the most. I hope we all feel better soon!

i often feel like i'm all alone, even in a room full of people. you do sound depressed, get some help and think about taking up a new hobby or a change in career, get out there and socialise a bit more you will find you will start to enjoy life a bit more if you open your mind.

I use to suffer from loneliness when I was single and now that I am married I can't wait to have some alone time.

tis normal, winter blues, seasonal affective disorder whatever. we all get lonely, me too.it makes the good times feel good knowing how bad other times can be.
dont think about it too much, read a book, watch tv, play here with us all,occupy yourself.
lonliness is a real killer though especially in the elderly.
relieve your lonliness and go and visit an elderly relative or elderly friend and cheer both of you up.just an idea.

My name is Karie Bates. I feel as though i am alone all the time. No matter if there are people around I feel totaly alone. I don't know if that is how you feel but I amways feel alone and I feel left out of everything. I have learned that listening to music HIP HOP has helped me alot. I don't know what kind of music you listen to but music helps me alot. It calms me down and then i dont feel so alone anymore

Yes I know what you mean, I suffer from depression, but I sought out help from a professional to help me get through my "blues". You may want to find a good hobby or activity that you enjoy doing so you can help occupy yourself with. It's not easy but opening up to friends or family members when you are going through this will help.

Yes, you're not alone. I have friends that I can hang out with every now and then but about the only person I can actually talk to is my husband and I get tired of heaping my troubles onto him...especially if they're about him!
