I am like your friend, I am not a party person, I just don't enjoy the party atmosphere. That does not make her antisocial. Have her suggest something to do. It may be something as simple as walking around a flea market or a movie, if that is what she likes to do , then that's her thing. Remember you are her best friend, do not make her do something she does not want to, respect how she lives her life socially and if she wants to spend time with you sitting at home watching a movie, then set aside some time for her and be there for her in other ways than socially.

Some people just aren't party people or feel very awkward at them. I certainly have always fell into that catagory.

By all means, continue to invite your friend, and tell her she'll have a great time, but don't force the issue. She's made it clear that it's not her thing.

You can't change her! But find out her fear and confront it! And then she'll want to do what you do which is: PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
