dont get me wrong.... i luv their cricket team. always have seen them since was a child and I am their Biggest fan.
but y o y?
1. in 1992, they get screwed over by mother nature
2.. in 1996, they could not beat west indies in the quarter finals
3.. 1999, dont even get me started. against the aussies, they hold them to 209 runs, tie the damn score, AND failed to score JUST one run in order to win. ONE run. i think i cried when that happened.
4. in 2003, their own home field, they could not even make it to the palyoffs.
sigh, i think they are the best team when it comes to playing matches that dont really count for much. But,in big events their luck is the worst.
any suggestions on y does this keep happening?

There always good and bad time not only for people but also for the teams. Just because they did not click at the correct time, you cannot call them chockers. Dont forget the fact that they have set a record of chasing most runs in One Day Internationals against Australia and one the match. They still maintain No. 2 ranking in the LG ICC Ranking. It is quite unfair to term such a team as Chockers.

Don't be that negative. Any sport is sometime on a good measure of Good luck too and the individual performance of key players in the team. SA time will come. sooner the better.

Looking at their present performance I beg to differ. If there is one team that's real threat to Australia then it is South Africa for sure.

yeh yr rite they lose the big ones but think bout it theyre still such an awesome team coz they thrash teams nowadays in tests and one dayers

SA's best chance was when cronje was their skipper. with jonty rhodes, donald etc it was a pwoerful team.
they arent good enough now, so i think you need to wait a while
