No its not. I hope this isn't a personal question. If you know someone who is bleeding or spotting (just a few drops of blood) and is pregnant, they should see their doctor immediately because it MIGHT or Might not be a sign of a miscarriage, or any other condition that will require immediate attention in order to save the baby or bring the baby to term.

Your period. Every month your body is anticipating getting pregnant. So your uterus builds up with blood and other nutrients (uterine lining), sort of like how a birds collects twigs to make a nest when its expecting. Then your ovaries release an egg. If the egg does not get fertilized within a few days since its been released then within about 14 days or less your uterus realizes that your not going to get pregnant this month and releases the nest, the uterine lining.

But if you do get pregnant, then the egg attaches itself to that uterine lining (nest). The lining develops into the placenta which nourishes the baby during pregnancy.

After a woman gives birth, the baby will come out with the umbilical cord hanging out of the vagina. (Sorry for lack of better words) The woman will then have contractions so that she can give birth to the placenta also. (This is called post birth)

A woman is not suppose to have her period during pregnancy. Everything in the woman's body runs by hormones. When the egg gets fertilized different hormones are released that tell the body that the woman is pregnant and no longer needs to have her monthly periods for now.

I hope my answers help...this link can be very helpful also.

If you are pregnant and bleeding, you need to call your Dr. Even though some women still have a slight period while pregnant, that is not normal. You need to make sure your not having a miscarrage, or have some kind of inection.

If you are bleeding in any way, you should consult your doctor. Any bleeding during pregnancy should not be like a period ist usually is only spotting or pink in color. If you have bleeding please see your doctor because if this is the start of a miscarrage the can give you something that could save your baby.

No it isn't the same. Spotting is normal, but spotting literally means a few drops of blood. If you're bleeding as you would during your menstrual cycle you need to see a doctor immediately. This could be a sign of something that needs medical attention.

Implantation bleeding when you are first prego is normal. It wear it's planting itself into your lining and distrupting the membranes. But bleeding when you are a few months along is not normal and you should go to your DR.

It would be better if you went to the clinic and had it checked out.
You don't want to take chances.
