it's not hard, it is actually kind of easy. it took me about 4 hours to defeat the whole game, and that was without help. halo is much easier, but gears of war gives you just a slight bit of a challenge. i have the game and it is really great, except it's too short. still, i could play it any day!

It's a great game, not necessarily a Halo beater, but based on it's own merits it should be part of every Xbox 360's gamers library. I feel where the game really shines is in Multiplayer, especially Co-op, where one of your friends can jump in with you anywhere and help you through the more difficult modes.

if youre talking about single-player there are 3 difficulty levels. the easiest level is rather easy. the hardest level is only unlocked after you finish the gm on the middle level.
