Because his head's so far up his *** that he cannot hear any of it. It's not his fault. It's in his blood. He's part flamingo.

Which experts are you refering to? The Iraq study group? HA HA!!

Yes, I can see where the great military mind of Justice Sandra Day O'Conner would say that!

If you actually paid attention the so-called experts have contradicted themselves. First it's pull-back to a staging area, then it's bring in more troops. They can't even make up their minds. The fact of the matter is political correctnesshas no place in a war zone. If you get in a fight you fight to win. We had al Sadr dead to rights long before the civil uprising in Iraq and backed off when we should have taken him out. The answer has always been sweep through with overwhelming force, disarm the factions and seal off bagdhad. Then train the forces and work your way out. But that takes two things, time and the stomach for it. In this day and age of we want results right this second and a bombardment of media and so-called experts, half of which wouldn't know a hand grenade from a hand bag, you get what we have. A stalemate. If the media were kept out and the military given the freedom to do what had to be done, we'd be much further along than we are. It's shameful!!

and why does he ignore all these so called recommendations??? because he is stubborn and a bull headed. he says he will not stop until iraq has a democracy but i think his father, Bush #1 made such a mess over there that Bush#2 is trying like hell to make up for his fathers blunders and mistakes, only now, #2 has made more mistakes than #1 and i feel that we will never get out of iraq.....or it will be a long time coming....he is just ignorant and does not know what he is doing.

His pride comes before his duty, at least to him. He continues to search for a way to change the direction of this war that doesn't involve taking the advice of anyone who has the nerve to disagree with him. At this point he doesn't even have to "lower" himself to listen to Democrats, his OWN Republican advisors and staff are trying to tell him he's wrong. It's clear his ego and stubbornness will continue to get soldiers killed and maimed. The sick thing is that he thinks that makes him strong, to be so set on sticking to his guns, whether wrong or right - when it is really the hallmark of a weak and ineffective leader to be unable to change his stand for the good of his nation.

He has been listening to expert advise. He has experts all around him. The only thing the democrats say is stay, go, cut and run, draft, no draft, pull out, add troops. So while they are deciding what they believe in, he continues to listen to the experts and makes his own decisions based on the information given to him. This is what real leaders do by the way.

We don't always know who he does & doesn't listen to. There are plenty of members of bothe parties (10 of whom are responsible for the ISG report) who are far from being experts. I just hope he listens to the right people. I say this without always knowing who these right people are.

If Bush wishes ever to rise in the approval ratings, he will HAVE to listen to those around him. Seeing that his IQ is not that large, it is sad he had not figured out to listen to others before he came into office.

Domestic issues, for one, are a big screw-up on his part. He messed them up SO badly, that our children will have to pay for them for hundreds of years after his death. Hence, domestic issues are one of the most important factors in ratings.

Another important and decisive factor is his foreign policy abroad and, expecially, in Iraq. There, he has put us in a pool of debt AND made it possible for thousands of young citizens to die. Do not forget innocent civilians of Iraq as well; all the women, children, and men who had nothing to do with terrorism were killed by his orders. I hope he has all those deaths on his mind 24/7.

Thank you for your time.

Why does everyone think Bush runs the entire show?

This is a democracy - there are some things going on behind the scenes that you nor I see.

I think it's more a case he's found they're just like him so it'd be a case of listening to himself so he's decided to listen to himself.

Why listen to others when you already know all the answers even if you don't know the facts?
