If they're lousy you can be sure it is because of years of stress dealing with lousy, bratty kids whose parents did very little to support the teacher, school and the kids' education. Lousy teacher? Look at the students and classes s/he has had over the last few years. . . .that will tell the story.

If they all had pupils like some of the 'askers', I'm not surprised that some of them are lousy. Some pupils who later go into teaching aren't necessarily the best teachers. One of the 'answerers' above me would make a very lousy teacher and for obvious reasons. Get a life!!

We have a system whereby some teachers are encouraged to take a financial bonus to get out of teaching and retrain in another field. The financial package is very attractive and is available to teachers who have been teaching for more than 10 years and have lost their passion for the craft. Bacially it is to enable the 'deadwood' to be removed and make way for new blood.

Be fair my friend. They've taught you so well. Now that you're smart, you thought them as lousy?

You want them to retire? Compute their wages annually and multiply it by the number of years until retirement plus retirement packages and give it to them. I thought you're smart enough to figure this out? Seemed I was wrong.

If you think you could do better, go to school and be a teacher, then replace one.
