I have ADD and I can't concentrate on anything. I don't mean that in a way where I'ed be doing something and see a butterfly and go...Ewww, cool...and chase it around. My mind will drift on other thoughts, mainly stuff that worries me, or interests me. When I am at school I can do the assignment, sometimes, but then forget everytime to turn it in. Or, I I'll sit in class and be listening to the teacher and look over and get like mezmerized in watching a student twurl their pencil around. Now thats bad. I hate it. I disrupts my life and I get depressed enough everyday that I want to scream and....kick a tree or something. People think I'm stupid becuase I can't concentrate on my responsibilities and its hard when they joke about it. Its hurts a lot. I wish I was able to be smart like everyone else.

2. stop complaining and feeling sorry for yourself.
3. you are going to need discipline to deal with it.
4. no excuses, thousands of people are worse then you and they get on fine, without drugs or help.
5. start making list, AND USE THEM!
6. don't be lazy, in class pay attention no matter how hard, you can, you wont like it at first, but keep trying.
7. don't blame yourself and start the cycle if you catch your self going off, that's is part of the laziness. it easier to ball then to try.

you are smart i can tell by the way you put a sentence together. you seem to have plenty of concentration here. if you think that the problem is bad enough go to the doctors. my bf kid is on strattera and i think that it helps. we notice a difference if she does not take it. all i am saying as that it is worth a shot

Have you spoken to your parents? You show the classic signs of ADHD/inattentive type. You can get help. Medication can help if you choose that route. The school can develop a 504 plan for you to assist you in turning in your assignments and writing your assignments down so you will have them at home. ADHD is difficult but not impossible. You need to ask for help. If you get help now, you can learn ways to help you compensate for your areas of difficulty. I have a daughter that is ADHD and was on medicine to help her in school and learn ways to help herself and not get behind in school. With the skills she learned, she is no longer on medication.

You are smart but not like everyone else.... you are smart like you... and that is the best kind of smart to be...

twirling pecils are quite mesmerising... so are beautiful butterflies as they flit from flower to flower....

you sound very much like a creative soul... dont worry about labelling and medication... this is just part of who you are.. and trust me your smarts will shine through...

just enjoy being who you are..
