Windstream is our only choice in phone carriers. We do have broadband and dsl options in our area...but i am not sure of the difference in broadband or dsl.

depending on your needs, you could just use your cell phone and not get a landline phone at all. landlines tend to be better in emergencies and you would need a landline for dsl. if you get cable modem broadband service rather than dsl, you will not need landline phone service. look for a bundle deal for the options you want from one provider. sometimes that is cheaper.

i don't have a land line. Had one for a on an identical time as, in spite of the undeniable fact that it wasn't useful and that i became continually getting demands persons. BQ~i'm unsure the place the closest payphone is around here. i recently found out that there are actually not pay telephones in or on the brink of state government homes because of the fact of threat of terrorism. if you can get roadrunner in your area you can get internet and phone service through them at a reasonbable price.
