how do u get access to a password proctected hard drive?

I CRASHED MY MOTHERBOARD NOW I'M USING AN ENCLOSURE TO GET THE FILES BUT ITS PASSWORD PROTECTED I KNOW THE PASSWORD BUT IT DOESN'T HAVE AN OPTION TO INSERT PASSWORD

if the hdd is pwd protected i've read the pass gets written to the firmware of the hdd, so it's of no use to install it on a new pc or enclosure - i bet you need to get a working mobo (exact model) and exec the proceduro to unprotect it. Have you tried to contact support service for guidance? - not that easy.
