You did miss one, Mark Anderson of the Chicago Bears ( 8 1/2 sacks maybe more, I have not checked recently)
My other favorite is Devin Hester just because he has made history and what we have seen before our eyes will not be witnessed again this generation so enjoy watching hisotry in the making while you can!

I'm pretty sure Jason Taylor isn't a rookie...
Has to be DeMeco Ryans. He flies all over the field and has overshadowed the much-hyped and much-maligned Mario Williams. He had 146 TKLs this year including a 15 tkl game! 146! That was good for 2nd in the league. That's amazing even for a 8-year veteran. He was the only player worth a damn on that whole defense this year too.

Since Hester made most of his fame on special teams, he probably won't be DROY. I'd say DeMeco Ryans had the best season of those that you posted...
Thats funny that Mario Williams isn't being considered considering he was the #1 overall pick, and his teammate had a better year and was picked in the 2nd round.

A.J. Hawk or Devin Hester, although Hester is really only an option because of what he has done on special teams

DeMeco Ryans of Houston. The Texans selected Mario Williams with the #1 pick, but their finest selection came in the 2nd round. Ryans (Alabama) leads the league in tackles.

DeMeco Ryans - Texans
But among those whom you listed, Devin Hester is the best, but he has shined on Return teams rather than on defense.

I'd say Devin Hester, although I'd vote for him more for his role on special teams than on defense. He deserves rookie of the year for SOMETHING though.
