In the first one he didn't KO Rocky and win the match - so didn't win but neither did Rocky
In the second one he was KO'd and lost the title to Rocky

Let's see -- he fought Rocky Balboa in both movies. Difference was Apollo won by decision in "Rocky" and lost by TKO in "Rocky II."
