Yes, they work fine for a straight chimney. If yours has bends, you will need to take it apart to clean it.

Have it inspected by a pro once a year, before using it.

If you USE your chimney, that is one area you don't want to mess around with. Have a professional chimney sweep come out to do the cleaning and inspection. The inspection part is just as important as the cleaning. Chimney fires are no joke. People die from them. Best to have a professional do the work IMHO.

they are cheap and a little cheeky but if you use them properly you can pass them down to your grandchildren.
