I live just outside San Diego. When I woke up at 6:30 this morning, the rain was coming down.
In reference to the song: "Girl, don't they warn ya? It pours; man, it pours"

The song says, "it never rains ... it pours." I lived in Southern CA for one year back in the late 1970s. When we arrived in May, it did not rain until December or January. But, in January, February and March, there was quite a bit of rain - heavy rain. That is, it poured. Southern CA has a dry season and a wet season. When it rains - it really does rain

no. most of southern california have a meditteranean climate, much like in southern europe, in which we get a lot of rain during the winter seasons, and dry conditions during the summer. we typically dont get a lot of rain year round; only around 5-20 inches of precipitation a year. on a certain year, there are times we can get unusual drought conditions, or sometimes a lot of rainfall, which depends if its an el nino season or la nina.

No, in fact we had a little bit of rain just yesterday. We don't get anywhere near as much as they do in places like Hawaii and Seattle.

But the song with that title is still a good one.
