What can I do to fix it? Will Apple take it back? Or should I just breakdown and get a new one?

call them they might be able to fix it with warenty and if they cant they will send you a new one good luck and try calling 1800apple then like listen to they menu and click whatever the number is and they will put you on hold to talk to someone and just explain everything they might even be able to tell you what to do over the one and if you need to ship it out they will mail you a box then you can call dhl and they will call to pick it up the service is very fast like about 2-7 days and your ipod will be back good luck

Did you try resetting it?

Turn the top switch off fro 5 seconds, then turn it back on, then press and simultaneously hold down the "menu" section of the toggle wheel and the center button until the Apple symbol comes on.

If that doesn't do it, take it to an Apple dealer to see what they say is possible. The warranty is for a full year, so you should be able to get something back.

Does the power come on? If not, definitely take it to an Apple store.

If you do get power, but it's frozen up, then it's easy to fix. Hold down the Menu and center buttons at the same time for about 5-10 seconds. The iPod will reset itself.

If you're still having problems, use the "Restore" button on iTunes (assuming it powers up).

Call Apple or go to an Apple store and see if they will take it back or help you fix it.

Try re-setting it first, there are instructions on how to do this on apple's website. If not take it back to the Apple shop and explain, i'm sure they will be able to help

does it not respond to anything at all, even charging?
if not , then MAYBE you froze it by moving too fast on the clickwheel

if you think that you havent done that, and u bought it at best buy or circuit city, tel them and theyl get u a new one of the same model

my friend does it all the time

if its frozen hold the menu button and the middle button down
it should just re-boot and then be fine

if that doesnt work try reseting it with itunes{your music will be erased}

You need to call the store where you got it from and ask them what to do to correct the situation.

i think u must have done somthing..i have mine since jun and it hasnt been broken...dropped about twice
