Hello, it's seems you may have hit the problem a lot of Macs have with Tiscali. After taking advice from a computer firm I bought the Netgear DG834GT and it solved it for me. If funds are a bit tight the next best option is the ADSLNation X Modem from Broadband Buyer (on line).
