Worst - Today's signing of Barry Zito. 7 years, 126 million dollars. The Giants are getting a quality young pitcher in Zito, but this is the biggest contract ever given to a pitcher. EVER! We're not talking about Johan Santana or Chris Carpenter, we're talking about the wildly inconsistent, fly-ball pitcher Barry Zito. This should make the Giants cash-strapped for the next 5 years at least.

Best - For best I'm going with a Red Sox pitcher, no not Daisuke Matsuzaka, but Brendan Donnely. He is a great reliever and will stabalize the only thing the Red Sox lacked, a strong bullpen. He's not a closer, but he's probably the best set-up man in the league. And at $950,000 a year he's an incredible bargain.

The worst signing has to be Jason Marquis to the cubs. Way too much money for a sinker ball pitcher that can't keep the ball down. When the wind is blowin out at wrigley he is going to get hammered. How could they sign Marquis and let Suppan go to Milwaukee? Unbelievable. The best signing may also be for the cubs in Soriano. But if they bat him lead-off they really are crazy. The guy hit 46 homers last year , he will probably get more in wrigley. If they hit him in the lead-off spot they can kiss all of those rbi's good bye!

Best - Alfonso Soriano to the Cubs, you can't ask for more than a five tool player like him to help an offense that has a couple of good weapons already.

Worst - Gil Meche to the Kansas Shitty Royals, this is a mediocre pitcher that will be earning 9 million a year on the league's worst team

Best - none are spectacular, but the Jason Schmidt signing may have been good and Barry Zito is a good player, just not sure of the money of years.

Worst - JD Drew and Jason Marquis. JD is injured apparently quite a bit and Marquis' numbers fell off last year.

Best - Hands down is 40/40 man Alfonso Soriano.

Worst - Barry Zito. He has won 20 games once. The rest of his career has been decent to sub par. He's always been overrated and is NOT worth $18 million a year.

I thought the signings of Juan Pierre and Gary Matthews were the worst so far, but Barry Zito takes the cupcake.

I gotta say that the Cubs for Alfonso Soriano 8 years 136 Million. For a leadoff hitter that hits homeruns, runs fast and fields average and has never been an impact player.

Looks like the Sox will own Chi-Town for a while.

Best - None (They were all EXTREMELY overpriced.)

Worst - Probably Jason Marquis.

I know Yankee fans are going to come in here hot headed saying Dice-K was the worst signing, but just for you guys: Shut up.

Since I know you are going to bring up his 50m contract and 50m signing bonus. How about this for you:

His entire signing bonus and part of his contract money will be eaten up in Japanese revenue. It will look a bit more like 6 years 6M per year. And you don't know how good he will be. We KNOW he will be good, but we don't know if he will be Tim Wakefield good or Pedro Martinez good. In two years if he is Tim Wakefield good, feel free to call it a bad deal. But for now, shut up. Something Yankee fans really need to learn to do.

Best- there isn't a best cause everyone was either over payed or not even worth adding to your team.
