Cause there's aunt ponaco or however u spell that and i'm assuming since she lives with Winrey that she is Winreys Grandmother but but to Ed and Al, she is a great aunt...and that would make Winrey their cousin right?

They are absolutly not related. Only friends.
but you know Japanese don't use the terms uncle and aunt like we do. For us westerners ( assuming you are ) uncle and aunt / grang ma and grand pa / grand aunt and grand uncle usually means that there is a family link with the person. But not always in Japan.
If you watch for instance Detective Conan is Japanese with Eng subs you will see that Conan calls Mori Kogoro "ojisan" meaning uncle. Ok he is Kogoro's daughter b/f. But as he is a child he can't have this kind of relation but yet as he calls him uncle.
It is the same with young people saying obasan to ladies they don't know. It is a mark of respect even though they are not family related.

No, Winrey is not related to Ed or Al. 'Aunt' is just something that they call her b/c that was what she was like when they grew up. She's really just and old family friend. Besides, IF winrey was realted to them..doesn't the show lead on that they like eachother as more that friends or w/e? That's a bit incest and I don't think they'd do that on FMA. But, who knows? I'm waiting to buy the movie and see how they act towards eachother in that.

no they're jsut really goood friends ed call her aunt because well she is kinda like they aunt because she took care of them when their mother died. and No winry isn't their cousin

No they aren't. Winry's Mom,Dad,Dog,Etc. is just the elric's friends.
