I completely sympathize with you however, as a member of their household you should abide with them. It's common for parents to be somewhat ridiculous and controlling when it comes to haircuts.

Yes your hair will grow back however I have known people who cut their hair excessively short with the thought that they can always grow it out. Its not that simple. The process of growing your hair out is long and slow. It takes tons of maintenance to trim and style even few months. Otherwise your haircut, though it looked good when short now looks terrible. In otherwords, if you don't keep styling it to adjust it's knew length, for some time your head wil resemble a mushroom.

If your prepared to go ahead anyways I'm suggesting two options. Try and reason with your father, explain to him if it doesn't work out you'll grow it out and won't attempt it again. If he's still stubborn see if your mom will consent and take you out to get it cut. However if they both say no DO NOT GET IT CUT ANYWAYS. It will only infuriate both your parents and chances are they'll cut your privileges. Just wait. Soon you can go bald if your want and your dad can't do a thing.

Its your hair and you should be able to do with it what you want, some girls look very pretty in short hair. I am sure that your Dad does not ask your opinion of his hair when he gets his hair cut. Many beautiful women have had really short hair and it looked beautiful on them-Demi Moore,Halle Berry etc.

It should be up to you. Unfortunately sometimes parents don't feel the same way. You might want to talk to your dad and explain what you want and how you are feeling. If he doen't agree just remember that as soon as you're out of the house you can do WHATEVER you want with your hair.
