everywhere i read, and anytime i hear the wrestlers on TV talk about John Cena abilities, all I ever notice is people saying he's a horrible wrestler, thart he can't wrestle, that he wouldn't last 5 minutes with Bret Hart, and that he's got no skill, and that even a diva could beat him in a wrestling match.
Why is that??? John Cena has done some amazing things in his short 2 years of superstardom. He's beaten 1) Kurt Angle, 2) Chris Jericho who like Kurt Angle is a great wrestler, 3) Beat that big mid-card wrestler Tyson Tomko, 4) Viscera, and 5) Big Show 6) Shelton Benjamin and 7) Edge
The list goes on and on as far as all the guys he's beaten. And again, one of those guys who was really great was Y2J a.k.a. Chris Jericho. You can't say that's not amazing. Maybe people are just getting sick of his face wrestler persona being mixed in with his white rapper persona? I guess the white rapper persona goes better with a heel persona than with a face persona?

You named the crap bottom feeders of wrestlers. Who hasn't beat those guys? Come on lets get real and lets be real.
Where was the John Cena lovers when he was a heel on Smackdown and didn't have the Vanilla Ice gimmick. Where was the John Cena lovers when he broke into the business challenged Kurt Angle and got WHIPPED in the middle of the ring .
What you and others fail to realize is that when you have a good persona it carries you over. Your persona can win championships not your talent. ex....Hulk Hogan. his wrestling moves consist of a punch, body slam, big boot, leg drop, back drop, hulk up shaking move, and a rake across the back. but he was champion forever. The Big Show moves consist of a big boot, body slam, elbow, leg drop, chokeslam, and squash in the corner turnbuckle and he's a 3 time champ. John Cena has a total of 7 maybe 8 moves in his backpocket but he knows how to work a mic and work a crowd, especially little teenage and underage girls. Thats why he's champ, not based on his talent, but his charisma.
Y2J wasn't all that great in the WWE in fact he was a much better wrestler in WCW , when he came over they calmed his character down and made him talk more so he wasn't all that dominant.
John Cena is no where near the best or one of the best champions the WWE has to offer , he's not even ranked in the top 10 of best Champions ever, he needs to focus more on his skills than the mic and maybe he would earn some respect from us true die hard fans who watch wrestling for wrestling and not the gimmicks. And if you need any further proof... Ultimate Warrior beat legends but did he win those matches because he actually beat them in a match or was his persona so over that the writers had no choice but to make him a champ. Thats how some of view Cena.

Who you beat doesnt matter when it's fake. You beat who the boss wants you to.
The people have a problem with the fact that he has less wrestling ability than most of the people in the company.
And despite being pushed down our throat, he doesnt have the ring prescence, mic skills, or charisma to be accepted by over half of the fans.
I think a lot of it is a really bad persona, but it would help if he could wrestle. Benoit, Shelton, hardys dont have big gimmicky personas but they get over with the fans because they are talented in the ring.
If you just go by wins Shelton Benjamin is 3-0 against HHH, and Gregory Helms has pinned the Rock

I totally agree, though he's not my favourite he has my respect. People forget what he did at New Years Rev 05 when he started the elimination chamber and came out on top over the likes of Kane and Shawn Micheals. Only then to take two spears to be defeated for the Championship. Amazing, point blank!

I agree with you 100%. Though he might not be the best wrestler out there, he always gives 110% for the fans that cheer him on or boo him out of the arena. At least he cares about the fans. More than what some wrestlers can say.

Cena is the worst wrestler ever. The best wrestler would have to be the most electrifying man in sports entertainment: The rock!
Cena is a jabroni. The rock can beat him and others that look just like him.

there are power wrestlers like lashley and finesse wrestlers like Jeff hardy. don't really know where john falls but to me he is a great wrestler. i remember when he started and used that chain but now he dominates without cheating. most of the time its just jealousy that makes ppl bad mouth others cos john is a great wrestler and if he beats umaga i think that will solidify him as one of the best ever.
