Did you notice this? Do you remember when Jack was at the the voodoo person's (the lady with the stuff around her mouth..the one who gave him the jar of dirt) tree house thing? Do you remember him stealing a ring from her table? Well, next to the ring was a silver heart necklace.
Okay, now when William (a.k.a. Orlando Bloom) was stealing the key from Davey Jones there was a locket that was exactly the same as the voodoo woman's. Do you think this is a clue to who Davey Jone's love was? A woman as untamable as the sea? Do you think it is the voodoo woman?

just figured that out? well good job noticing. yes, tia dalma is definately davy jones' love. he cut his heart out for her. this also explains why tia knew so much about the women jones loved. my personal thought is that the man that tia left jones for was capt. jack sparrow because he said he 'knew' her. makes ya wonder?
that is just one of the many little secrets behing pirates of the caribbean. its great isnt it? ;)

The voodoo lady is Tia Dalma and i did notice a locket beside the ring. I wouldn't jump to conclusions, though she never said what happened to the woman he fell in love with. It might be a possibility.

Anyways, lotsa good stuff in the film; The lockets probably don't mean anything, could be just a prop shortfull, and they re-used some interesting trinkets. However, sometimes a Director will include other references, the way Jackson has a reference to the Sumatran Rat Monkey in KING KONG ( the Rat Monkey was used in BRAIN DEAD, aka DEAD ALIVE ).

ya I noticed that too.... maybe she could be davey jones' love.... I have read a bit about the next movie.. and they say elizabeth gets captured by japenese pirates and jack and captain barbossa and will go and rescue her.... does anyone know if they will finish the other story line and like have 2 stories in one? anyways can't wait I love those movies .... mmmmm captain jack sparrow he can hold me hostage anyday lol
wow I just saw someone elses answer andI like their idea... that the voodoo girl is davy jones' love and that is why she knows so much about davey jones and his love and where his heart is and that she and jack hooked up..... maybe why davy jones hates jack?? I know jack isn't very popular ... but maybe that is one of the many reasons davy jones hates jack can't wait until PC3

Nice. I noticed that they lingered on that, but I didn't catch that it matched. No, I don't think it's the voodoo woman, I think she has the other locket. We may find out in #3, since they're bringing back Gary Oldman from PC1, they may tell us more about DJ in the third. The voodoo woman clearly knew who the woman was, so I think she just has possession of it.

Wow. Good observation. I saw the film when it first came out in theatres so I don't remeber if I caught that or not. It probably is a clue.

yes i believe the connection when she was telling the story in that scene did you also notice Geoffery Rush's ( not Gary Oldman) foot when the monkey went into the back room?? hmmm
