that happens because those system alerts are fake. it's a small spyware program which forces you to buy some stuff or just keeps blinking and makes you mad. and as it's spyware and not virus, antiviruses can't and won't pick it up. what you need is antispyware., try spyware doctor, it worked for me when i had the same problem.
you can download it here:

Ad-Aware SE Personal is a Lavasoft product and is free to download at www.download.com. Two other good programs are Spyboy Search & Destroy, and SpywareBlaster. Both of those programs protect your PC from spyware before it gets installed. Spybot can also scan your PC. I recommend running both and Ad-Aware and Spybot scan because I've seen cases where one finds something that the other doesn't. Make sure to update the definition files before running your scans. This will make sure you are searching for the most recent problems. I use all 3 of these programs on my PC and haven't had any spyware/adware problems since. Spybot and SpywareBlaster download sites can be found by using your favorite search engine. Avast! or AVG-Free are both free anti-virus programs, so I would recommend installing one of those as well.

I would suggest you to do an online scan from www.pandasoftware.com/activescan and see what does it says. Also download an antispyware like Ewido and do a full system scan. Chances are there that your antivirus is not able to find it or that program which is saying that your system has a virus itself have been infected.

I've had that problem before too. You might need to try various anti-virus programs. Have you tried AVG? They have a really good free one. I use that all the time along with my McAffee, Spybot and Norton. Ohhh...A friend just had me add this one as well Ccleaner.

A trojan isn't a virus, it is spyware and AV programs can't find or eliminate it. Get Ad-Aware and SpyBot, both free from download.com, install and run them. they will find the spyware and get rid of it.
