SO many mothers are learning the harsh truth about Paxil - as if they didn't already know that anything you consume during pg would have an effect...

Stop the meds immediately and contact the dr who prescribed them as well as your OBGYN AND a pharmacist.

My doc even took me off of my thyroid meds during my last pg, so my advice is to do whatever you can to live without all drug substances until you have the baby.

Go to Rxlist.com and enter Trazadone. It says that you should never stop taking it abruptly but you should discuss with your Doctor other alternatives while pregnant. So I would call a nurse or doctor asap! Good luck and congrats!<3

I am familiar with the drug, I took it for about a year to go to sleep and help with anxiety. It is prescribed and so you should inquire about it with your Doctor.
Pregnancy and Lactation:
Since the safety and use of trazodone in pregnant women has not been established, it should not be used in women of childbearing potential unless in the opinion of the physician the expected benefits justify the potential risk to the fetus. Since trazodone and/or its metabolites have been detected in the milk of lactating animals, it should not be administered to nursing mothers unless the potential benefits justify the possible risks to the child.

You should get on the phone to a doctor while waiting for you appt. because I am pretty sure that no one in Yahoo Answers is qualified to tell you what to do. You can do a phone consultation with a doctor though and let them know what meds your on and see what they think.

Trazodone is being pregnant classification C, meaning there's achievable of harm/defects to a arising embryo/fetus, yet that would not recommend it somewhat is an absolute fact. it somewhat is heavy stuff, I used to take it for sleep too and one time i presumed i should be pregnant i ended it immediately. communicate on your healthcare expert approximately selections, the less distant places chemical compounds on your physique the less possibility on your being pregnant.

HELL NO, trazadone is a strong sleeping medication meant for adults. the dosage you take is also the dosage your baby will get through the umbilical cord. 1 1/2 months into your pregnancy and you havent even seen a doctor. you should be arrested for child abuse.

They're both 'pregnancy category C.'

Talk to the doctor who's prescribing them a.s.a.p.; that's about all you can do for the moment.

Whatever you can survive without during your pregnancy don't take it. Discuss it with your Dr.
