Even in the most reputable of tattoo places infections can happen. Wait. Don't jeaopordize your fetus for a fad.

Besides that, depending on how pregnant you are, and where you are considering getting your tatoo, your skin is going through some major changes -- and may not "bounce back" after the baby is born.

Get some temporary tattoos if you feel the need to accessorize your skin.

No. Even if though you may go to a really nice, clean place there's still a risk for infections among other issues. Tattoo parlors (if they're the decent ones) will refuse to tattoo anyone pregnant, under age, and under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Wait until after the baby and then get inked.

In most states no you can not. Beyond the risk of blood borne infections such as hepatitis and AIDS, there is also a risk of infection of the tattoo site causing wide spread infection that could attack the baby as well. And the risk of certain chemicals in the inks causing an allergic reaction.

While the incidences of any of this happening is small, most artists won't tattoo for fear of being sued if something does go wrong.

I am not sure... good question. Ignore the answers where people think that tatooed mothers are bad mothers, lol. That is the first thing my mom said when i got my first feminine, tasteful tatoo... "What will you tell your kids". lol. I would say it is not the best time though..

I got two tattoos when I was pregnant with my son. Of course I didn't know I was pregnant because if I did I wouldn't have been spending all of my money on tattoos. Anyway. The second one did take longer to heal though. I'm guessing because all of my energy was going to nourishing my baby.

They say your not suppose to because the ink can get into your blood stream and go to the baby. I would wait till after the baby is born.

No it is not recommended that you do so because tattoos effect the blood stream which the ink can cause problems to the baby

There shouldnt be a problem considering it is only your outside "shell", where the baby couldnt be infected. I would just stay away from anywhere near the stomach area, in the worst case, it could rupture something. I would get a medical "ok" first , though, before getting one. GL and GB :)

Your not supposed to. Can pass something to your baby, and yourself. Plus your body is changing so much. Wait until after the baby comes.

i wouldn't. the possibilty of infection and other things right now is not a good idea. wait until a few months after and that way you can get something nice without worry.
