I've heard a couple of things about the cost differences. I've heard that it is cheaper to go to college in the UK than here in the US but I've also heard it's more expensive in the UK than in the US

It's probably much more expensive for an American student to go to college in the UK. I'd imagine that most UK colleges subsidize British students, but I don't think those benefits go to American students.

Definately the U.S. In Scottland, residents have their college paid for by the government.

It depends on whether it is a private or state run school
It depends on whether the area is rural or urban

its cheaper in the usa...usually free if u get a scholarship a reasearch or a teaching assistantship.... lots of funds very few students who utilize it
