I think Iraq would explode in full out civil war. Also, the United States would be soundly criticized all over the world for starting this horrific mess and then abandoning it. I hate this war, and I detest George Bush for getting us into it, but I understand that we cannot just load up our troops and get out tomorrow. Hopefully, Bush will begin to realize this isn't a military problem, but a political one. Until the politics of Iraq are solved we are doing nothing but marching in place.

As long as Israel exist there will be no peace in the middle east. This is not anti-Semitic but a true statement. There is no real solution to the problems that are in Iraq right now, if we pull out they will have to settle it themselves and they do have the resources to do it. It is my opinion that the Iraqi people will never accept a puppet government that we have set up. They need to find their own way and who will lead them and even if the U.S does not agree with them, that is not a problem. It is their country and they need to determine their own destiny and they will never be able to do that with the U.S. government dictating to them how to lead their lives.

i would think we would have to deal with Syria and Iran looking strongly at setting up puppet govts in the Iraq region.

This would cause major issues and headaches. Especially if both countries vied for control and used military force. Do Not forget All 3 of these countries desipze each other deep down behind the political hoop laa.

Also the Coalition forces would catch he!!, from the USA leaving. We always seem to forget the other 27 Nations there. What about them? I guess it is only Americas problem, right?

everything would fall apart and their would be a civil war. I personally belive it would be the best thing for the U.S. to do right now. We shouldn't be worried to much about the middle east when are own people go through the same stuff everyday.

The other NATO and coalition forces would be overwhelmed by both the Taliban in Afghanistan and the insurgency in Iraq. We would lose the few allies we have left when we desert them in a time of war. It would be yet another sad day to call myself an American, if we run away from helping our friends finish what we started.

The terrorists will take over in Iraq and use the oil in that country to prop up the failing Iranian economy. Then they'll proceed with their quest for world domination and launch a nuclear war on Israel.

First and second answers are correct but incomplete, the third one is wrong.

After the violence has subdued in Iraq (and it would because the most vicious faction would have prevailed) they would turn and look for whomever did this to them... and that was us, Iraqi terrorists will kill United Statesians pretty much all over the world including the United States.

Iraqis will continue to kill each other. Just like they have been doing and will continue to do whether we are there or not. The answer does not lie with us. It lies with the Iraqi security forces, Iraqi government, and ultimately the Iraqi people. Just like many a Republican has said; Iraqis will have to love their children more than they hate each other.

Things would quiet down from utter chaos to controlled disorder. Some are paranoid to do what needs to be done, but I can assure them that the Iraqis WILL NOT come here.
