Of course there are other crimes. I suppose you are referring to giving satisfaction to those who haven't yet been named as victims in court. We do the same thing here. We know a serial killer has murdered say, 15 people. But we've got the solid evidence for 3, so the serial killer is tried and sentenced to death for those 3 murders. His other victims don't get the nod, but we know who they are, and though their families may be depressed that their daughter was not named in court, I think they are still glad that the killer is receiving justice. Rather than letting him live for the next five years while they mount more evidence of his further crimes, they are denying him life. It seems to me to be the right thing to do for all concerned.

Not only "to be tried," but being tried. He was on trial for alleged attacks on Kurds, but the court determined that since he must be killed within 30 days it did not make sense to continue with the trial. Reportedly the Kurds are not happy, because they wanted the opportunity to demonstrate his additional guilt.

Yes there are, but I personally don't see it being in the best interest of Iraq to continue to put him on trial. Hang him and be done with it.

I don't think there can really be a worse punishment than death. I guess that could torture him but that would be unameric... uhh.. unIraqi?

But in all seriousness, theres no real point on going on with more trials if he's going to be put to death anyways.

Who cares about his other crimes? He's being hanged, and I hope they put it on Pay-Per-View.
