For about a month now I've been experiencing a cracking noise EVERY time I turn my head right and left. It doesn't cause me too much pain, but I have been having headaches and I'm not sure if they are related. I already went to my regular doc and she said there wasn't much I could do. I have been in a few moderate car accidents. One in which I was rear-ended at 45mph, and the other, we T-boned someone running a redlight. We were going around 50mph. I'm not sure if this is related as these happened a long time ago. I would like to know if Chiropractic is the best treatment and if so, how long and how much might it cost...my insurance doesn't cover it and I want to know if it is worth it...thanks in advance for your help!

I did that once and went to a chiropractor who worked miracles.

You can try Chiropractic services (you will need an xray of your neck which is covered by most insurance companies) as they are especially good for car accident victims. The cost varies but there is a Chiropractic College so you can call them and find out the rates. You will probably need to go for 10 visits or so. Your headaches will disappear within the first two visits.

You can also try registered massage services (some companies cover RMT's).

Good luck. Hope you are pain free soon.

Neck problems are totally normal if you had been in a car accident more than once and they will come back to you even though it's been awhile so, i recommend to go to the massage therapist at least twice a month

Do neck rotations. A few to the left and the same number to the right. You may want to strengthen your trapezius which is at the base of the neck by doing dumbbell shrugs.

My father is a licensed massage therapist and he has people coming to him left and right with neck and back problems. They rave about how much this has helped them. I would absolutely suggest going to a ****LICENSED**** massage therapist and talk to your doctor about getting a referral to get it covered by your isurance. I truly, truly believe this may help you.

STAY AWAY FROM CHIROPRACTORS
THEY WILL MANIPULATE YOUR NECK AND IT SHOULD BE LEFT ALONE
WEAR A SOFT CERVICAL COLLAR AND SEE IF YOU CAN GET SOME MUSCLE RELAXANTS - PREFERABLY VALIUM-----GO TO A NEUROLOGIST....
