Is it possible to create a VPN with a Windows XP machine as the server?

I have 6 separate Windows XP networks, each with their own ADSL with static IP address. Is it possible to access the files on one of the PC's from the others? I can connect to the PC in question, but cannot access (or do I know how to) any files.

If indeed you can connect to the PC then :
Sharing of the specific files or directories must be enabled from the host computer.
