This Long Term Single Parent took her two disabled children (at the time late teens/young adults) to the New Year's Eve Bowling Event on Base (I'm Retired Military), and the youngest brought along a date (which I did not know was going to show UP at my Home on that day) expecting to be entertained and stay in MY HOME -- so I was FORCED to pay yet ANOTHER fee for ANOTHER person to attend this event.

Same as I will be this year & every year - singing Auld Lang Syne in front of the TV. I never fancy getting caught up in a whole bunch of revellers on a night bus home.

I was sleeping. I woke up just in time to ring the new year 2006 in and kiss all of my cats on their little heads and tell them I love them. I had my oldest cat, Joey, last New Year's but he died in March. I still miss him. He was 20 years old.

If this cold doesn't clear up, I'll be in the same situation this year...not that we have anything planned. It's always been a nonholiday for me....

Just stayed at home, watched some good movies, munched on veggies & dip and tiny pizza rolls.

Generally, just having a good time and staying out of the way of drunken revellers and such.

:-))
