Okay i built a homemade incubaitor for hatching banty eggs.
I bought the thermonitor and have been keeping it between 96-99 degrees.
I also have water for the humidity in there. I have one egg that is due to hatch (considering if its fertile or whatever) in just 5 days. What shall i do if it doesnt hatch on time? Also There is 2 other eggs a hen layed and its been 3 days and she mother hen is not sitting on them. Due you think they still could be put in my incubaitor (it got down to the 20s the last few nights) So i dont know if they would have froze or if theres still hope of hatching them. Any help would be appreaciated. TY

You can try to hatch the other ones sometimes they surprise ya. I leave my eggs in for an extra 7 days because unless you gather your eggs everyday and mark them you really dont know when they were laid for sure. Good luck on the hatching.

You can always try to hatch the unsat on eggs. Don't let you incubator get to 99 degrees Fahrenheit. This is a bit too warm. If your egg doesn't hatch when it is expected too, put the egg up against a bright light and see if you can see through it. If you can, dispose of the egg, if not, place it back in the incubator. You might have misjudged the hatching time.

put a candle behind the egg and look though the shell if you can see a dark spot in the egg after 7 days then you well know that the egg is fertile. the eggs that have been out side for a few days should still be OK .

Any of my eggs that didnt hatch on time I would always leave them in for a week or two after their due date, There is always hope they may just be late hatchers. But dont leave them in there to long or they will begin to stink (done that to). Its fun to raise chicks and ducklings from hatchlings though. Good luck!

you cant rush things. just wait and make sure its warm for the eggs. if its too cold, the eggs could just die.
