my task manager is down. I do cntrl-alt-del but still not working. I tried right-click and then task manager but not working. I dont even get a responce! I have XP. i have no viruses becuase i already cleanned them off. i think maybe sumthing disabled it. help?

click start > run > type taskmgr
the taskmanager WILL open.then on the task manager window click on options and deselect "minimize on use".that should do it.

Since how long it not working? I would simply suggest a system restore which bring back your system's settings back when it was working fine. You will not lose any files or documents or letters.
click on start> click on all programs> click on accessories> click on system tools> click on system restore> Choose restore system to an earlier date> click on next > choose a restore date when it was working fine> click on next and follow the instuction and its gonna take care of the issue.
