A druggie... true I'd be mad if I found out he was a closet homosexual but that would be because he's been lying about who he was.

I don't want my comment to be counted as saying I'd object to my child being homosexual. But, I think I'd be more upset about them being a closet homosexual and not telling me.
If my kid were doing drugs, there's a good reason to hide something like that from me. I might have a thing or two or twelve to say about THAT!
On the other hand, I'd like to think I have the kind of household where my son would feel comfortable sharing something like their choice in dates with me. I'd be upset at them for seeing me as the type of person who would object, and I'd be upset with myself for giving that impression in the first place.

I would be more upset if I found out my son was a closet drug abuser!
Drugs and drug abuse can kill, if not kill, they can kill a persons personality and leave them destitute.
If I found out my son was a closet gay man, I'd be concerned that he didn't feel he could come to me and tell me, but I know that simply being a homosexual won't kill a person. I'd be concerned that he knew and practiced safe sexual relations, that he was healthy and not abusing himself in other ways.
Either way, he'd still be my son and I'd still love him no matter what. As far as being a drug abuser, I'd try to get him help. If he was a homosexual, I'd get him help, but not to stop him from being who he is, but rather so that he could live a healthy productive life as a self accepting gay man.

Definately a closet druggie. I would support my child if they were homosexual. I am bisexual myself, and I would hope that they would feel comfortable enough to tell me.

I would defianately be more upset if he were a druggie, sexual orientation doesnt lable you as a loser and doesnt effect your life in the negative whereas a drug user is labeled as a loser or low-life doing such things to their body and drugs always effect your ife in the negative by holing you back towards a great job family, etc.

Closet druggie.
I would like to think I have raised my children showing them tolerance not hatred. If one of my sons were homosexual I think that they would come to me and tell me.
They know I do not condone drug use and we have talked many times about this.
