I burned a pan on the stove that I forgot about and now it's totally smokey in here. I've open windows and put on some fans but the smoke isn't going away fast enough and it's starting to give me a headache, any ideas on getting rid of it? Air freshener does nothing

Go outside for a little bit before you have problems with smoke inhalation. You're getting headaches, so thats the tell sign to get some air.

To get rid of the smoke, open all windows, turn on all vents and turn on fans to direct the smoke toward windows and/or vents. Leave the house and let it air out. If the smell of smoke remains after all traces have dissipated, place shallow dishes of white vinegar around.

Put strips of ducttape up so they hang freely from the ceiling fan, and turn it on low. The smoke particles in the air will move around, as well as getting trapped on the tape.

gee buggin thats so crazy it just might work...also try a bowl of water with a 1/2 cup of vinegar just set on a table...also anything the smoke got directly on like the overhead fan try washing it with vinegar in water with a little bit of dishwashing liquid.. oh and one more thing the olfactory has a long memory so the smell will be stuck in your nose longer than your kitchen.

there is nothing else you can do. if you have a window fan/ac. you can put it on. otherwise, leave everything the way you have it and stay outside for a bit.
