Sits in front of a keyboard and enters information from printed forms into a computer - for 8 hours per day. And probably for minimum wage.

It is data entry, depending on the industry it could be codes and numbers or entering names and addresses. Hotels use them to keep customer files, Drs. and Hospitals use them for patient information. Some organizations hire Data Inputters to enter large amount of invoices into a accounts payable system for payment.

Sits at a computer all day and inputs information on to a data base.

Not the most exciting of jobs, kinda like the modern day equivilent of working on a standard production line.
