You might have a yeast infection. Check out the site I sourced for lots of great info!

according to the source.....
Symptoms:
Itching and burning in the vagina and around the vulva (the skin that surrounds your vagina)
A white vaginal discharge that may look like cottage cheese
Pain during sexual intercourse
Swelling of the vulva
Treat by:
Yeast infections are usually treated with medicine that you put into your vagina. This medicine may be a cream that you insert in your vagina with a special applicator, or it may be a suppository that you put into your vagina and allow to dissolve on its own. Medicine in a cream form can also be put on your vulva to help relieve itching. Medicine in a pill form that you take by mouth is also available.

doctor??
Be sure to see your doctor the first time you have symptoms of a yeast infection. It's very important to make sure you have a yeast infection before you start taking medicine. The symptoms of a yeast infection are also the symptoms of other infections, such as some STDs. Treating yourself for a yeast infection when you actually have another type of infection may make the problem much worse.
If you have often been diagnosed with yeast infections, talk to your doctor about using a medicine you can buy without a prescription.

Prevent by:

Don't wear tight-fitting or synthetic-fiber clothes.
Wear cotton panties.
Don't wear pantyhose or leotards every day.
Use your blow dryer on a low, cool setting to help dry your genital area after you bathe or shower and before getting dressed.
Wipe from front to back after using the toilet. This may help prevent the bacteria that normally live in your rectum from getting into your vagina.
Change out of wet swimsuits or other damp clothes as soon as you can.
Don't douche or use feminine hygiene sprays, deodorant sanitary pads or tampons, or bubble bath, and avoid using colored or perfumed toilet paper. These items seem to affect the balance of acidity of the vagina and can lead to symptoms of a yeast infection.

Good luck!

If you are having white discharge that comes along with odor it is more than likely some sort of infection. In this case you should go to a doctor and be diagnosed with something.

There are a few infections of the vagina that are white in color and have an offensive odor and one is a yeast infection. If you are diagnosed with a yeast infection you will be given a prescription treatment. You should at least see a doctor one time for this sort of problem before taking over the counter medications.

After the first diagnosis for an infection of the vagina it is safe to seek out over the counter medications.

A good way to prevent yourself from getting infections in the future is avoiding milk baths or bubble baths. You should still take proper care of yourself and the proper measures to stay clean in and around your vagina but bubble baths and milk baths should be a once in a while thing if ever because they are not highly reccomended and milk such as found in milk baths causes the growth of fungi such as yeast.

Even if you are clean and healthy it is still possible to get vaginal infections such as the common yeast infection that affects most women.

Avoid tight clothing. Change your panties everyday. Stay cool and dry down there. Don't put food such as honey in or around your vaginal walls. Why would anyone do that? Some women believe certain foods in that area help. They do not! Food is for eating. If you eat the right foods such as yogurts, fruits and vegestables you prevent yourself from becoming prone to infections.

If there is no odor and you see a thin white discharge that is normal. You can use a pantyliner if it is uncomfortable to you.

I personally do not reccomend douching or using vinegar in your vagina as the vinegar found in douches tends to kill the bacteria in your vagina that helps your vagina stay healthy and smell healthy. Some bacterias are good for your body and some are not. Some of the bacteria that the douches tend to kill are the ones that maintain a healthy discharge in your vagina.

That white stuff is called discharge. All girls have it when they start their periods. It's normal if it's white, not yellowish and not clumpy. It should smell foul, if it does, you may have a bactieria infection and your Dr. can give you a Rx to treat it.

It's no way you can keep it from coming out. It's just going to come out on it own.

The "white stuff" is likely a discharge that is likely due to a yeast infestion or a bacterial infection. The actual material itself is a proteinaceous material made up of used white blood cells, dead bacteria/yeast cells and skin cells.

A discharge with an odor is an indication to see your physician.

Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

its normal and may vary with what you eat and drink.

If its bothersome wear a liner each day.

The normal white or yellowish fluid is called leukorrhea. It comes from the cervical canal or vagina.
