Well, you can't stop it or our PC will destroy itself.
You can either...
1) Buy a quieter fan
2) Cool it down in your room (Turn up the AC)
3) Wear ear-muffs. :)

Well...it depends which fan is the culprit. All computers have at least one fan which is in the power supply. This fan can collect a lot of dust and should be sprayed out with a can of compressed air. The CPU should also have a fan unless it is a really old system. This fan can also accumulate dust and should be cleaned the same way. The problem could be that a wire is rubbing against the spinning fan blades. Or the fan could be going bad and need to be replaced. If it looks like it is spinning oddly you may want to replace it or have a technician replace it.

Unless you have a tiny room the computer should not be making your room hot. Perhaps your computer is overheating which could put out a lot of hot air and make your fan very noisy. Get it checked out by a professional and perhaps replace the fans with quieter and more efficient ones.

When fans go bad, sounds like a movie title.
Depending on what kind of set up you have it could be one of several fans. It could be the fan for your power supply, fan for your video card if it has one or the fan for you CPU.
If you have limited computer knowledge I would find somebody who perhaps some experience and ask for help as each of the fans not all that easy to take off or to reinstall.

Ok
I assume that is a pc , there is NO way to avoid that , now , if the room or the place where the pc is , is hot or dosent have too much ventilation then yes the fan will have work double to compensate , now what i do is that i leave the pc with NO cover and a dedicated fan to it

Sounds like the fan is going bad. Open the computer and clean out all the dust, carefully. If that doesn't help, you will probably need to replace the fan.

You didn't state which type of computer you had (desktop or laptop)...also, when you say fan....is it the fan in the power supply?...if it is not working correctly, your power will probably burn out. could be something as easy as cleaning it.

i'd take the fan out and go to your local computer store and buy another one. they are pretty cheap. that is if you are talking about a case fan. if it's a processor fan then take it your local computer store and say "hey, this fan sucks. i want another one that'll fit on my board and processor"

yeah you can , its easy and cheap , you should buy some noiseless fans 120mm or 80mm , and also a noiseless heatsink for the cpu from zalman , all this you can get it from www.newegg.com , http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835118223 & http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811999144 or something like that , just make sure the heatsink from zalman is compatible wt ur chipset model
