I am trying to plant some hedge around my house, but i dont know what kind to buy. I live in south florida.

Some good options are Cocoplum, Arborcola, Indian Hawthorne, Walter's viburnum, Awabukie, Sea Grape, Wild Coffee, Oleander
That was a great site recommended by dianed33; I'll be keeping that one around for later use.

Gardenia bushes! We have them and aside from providing coverage they're heaven when in bloom.
I live in north FL though, so you'll need to do a little research.
