I was gonna say the coach from Notre Dame. He would be good for the Giants, and that's also a good NFL start.

Trey Wingo, Tom Jackson and the ESPN crew....no seriously
If English wants to pursue an NFL career (English is defensive coordinator for the Michigan Univ.) he is a good choice other wise why not Norm Chow or any of the Giants offensive/defensive coordinators?

Would LOVE it to be Parcells...he's not the best choice though because he's good for 2-3 years, most. I'd prefer someone more long-term. I don't think Charlie Weis is an option.

Parcels will stay in Dallas and the Irish coach will stay at South Bend. The Giants new coach will be Jeff Fisher. He has worn out his welcome in Nashville.

Bill Cowher (since you asked who will be the best replacement), but that will probably never happen because Cowher wants to retire.
